participative artistic and community project in public space,
finalizing by art exhibition and mural painting

_the mural painting called TAURÓ DEL CARMEL has been part of the contemporary identity signs of the Carmel neighborhood for the last 10 years. Although its artist, BLU (It.), is a person with a work of global value, media projection, and recognition in different social and artistic spheres, the residents of Carmel had made the mural their own.
_from their own interpretations and individual values and as a local collective, the citizens of this neighborhood considered the TAURÓ one of the reference points of their identity, and not an international artistic value dictated by third parties and experts. For reasons of the sanity of the wall and the public space, the "Tauró del Carmel" mural has now disappeared.
_in order to recover this identity feature of the neighborhood, the EL CARMEL MOSSEGA project was proposed, a participatory, community, and artistic space promoted by various entities and facilities of the territory, which aims to research and explore public opinion about the importance of the public art in their neighborhood and hear new ideas and suggestions for the realization of a new artistic mural intervention in Carrer del Santuari.
_the project was divided into 3 phases:
1. - participatory activities and surveys placed in the popular places of the neighborhood in a ludic and creative way. The activities offer a space for reflection and opinions of residents of all ages.
2. - with all the material collected in phase 1, we prepared an art exhibition in the Public Library building in the neighborhood. One could find here the artistic and informative presentation of all the material that emerged from the activities.
3. - the last step of the project is a painting of the new mural in November 2022 inspired by the ideas and proposals of the neighbors

_El mural TAURÓ DEL CARMEL ha formado parte durante los últimos 10 años de los signos identitarios contemporáneos del barrio del Carmel. Aunque su artista, BLU (It.), es una persona con una obra de valor mundial, de proyección mediática y reconocimiento en diferentes esferas sociales y artísticas, los vecinos y vecinas del Carmel se habían hecho suyo el mural.
_desde sus propias interpretaciones y valores individuales y como colectivo local, la ciudadanía de este barrio consideraban el TAURÓ uno de los puntos de referencia de su identidad, y no un valor artístico internacional dictado por terceros y expertos. Esta apropiación se produjo de forma espontánea y natural. Por razones de salubridad del muro y del espacio público, actualmente el mural del "Tauró del Carmel" ha desaparecido.
_ara poder recuperar este rasgo identitario del barrio, se planteó el proyecto EL CARMEL MOSSEGA, un espacio participativo, comunitario y artístico impulsado por el Pla de Barris, el distrito de Horta-Guinardó y las diferentes entidades y equipamientos del territorio, que quiere promover la realización de una nueva intervención artística mural en la calle Santuario.
_el proyecto se dividió en 3 fases:
1. - actividades participativas y encuestas colocadas en los lugares populares del barrio de forma lúdica y creativa. Las actividades ofrecen un espacio de reflexión y opiniones de vecinos de todas las edades.
2. - con todo el material recogido en la fase 1 preparamos una exposición de arte en el edificio de la Biblioteca Pública del barrio. Aquí se pudo encontrar la presentación de forma artística e informativa de todo el material que surgió de las actividades.
3. - el último paso del proyecto es el nuevo mural que se pintará en noviembre de 2022 inspirado en las ideas y propuestas de los vecinos.
